Passenger flights — check your travel date
Flights listed — check with airline
Find an airport by name, code or province
Search an airport name, a three-letter IATA code or the city an airport serves. Use the province filter to narrow the directory without changing the page address. Each airport name opens a profile with its coordinates, distances to selected towns and other airport locations. To start from a destination instead, use the South African city and town list or the airport distance finder.
Airport codes on a booking
JNB identifies O.R. Tambo International Airport, HLA identifies Lanseria and CPT identifies Cape Town International Airport. JNB and HLA are separate airports associated with the Johannesburg area; match the code on your ticket before arranging a pickup. A blank IATA field means no code is recorded in this dataset, not that the airport has no identifier. Four-letter ICAO codes and other source identifiers are kept in the individual profiles.
What the passenger-flight labels mean
Passenger flights — check your travel date means passenger-service evidence has been reviewed, with the review date shown in the profile. Flights listed — check with airline means the record lists regular service but current flights still need confirmation. No regular flights listed does not rule out private or charter operations. None of these labels provides a live schedule or confirms a flight on your travel date.
Service city and airport location
The “Serves” column is the city associated with an airport. It does not place the terminal at the city centre. Open the airport profile for its actual coordinate and city-distance table. The directory is a selected South Africa airport list, not a count of every airport or airfield in the country.
